Contributors Welcome

Anyone who wishes to contribute ideas and thoughts that can benefit the new movement should do so. After all, it is paucity of ideas that leads to poor policy making and bad government. Even if you have never done this before, get started so that you begin to grow in confidence. There is always a first time.

Herewith the start of a rap song that could be used during the campaign… ;)

To really build us a rainbow nation
We need a lot of voter education
Regardless of what all the others say
Your vote is a secret on voting day
The thought of them knowing is really absurd
Nobody will know it, I give you my word
Thus if you’re unhappy with the service you got
Then vote against the rulers and put them on the spot

Now let us consider the acts up to date
Of our old liberators running the state
It is obvious I’m talking about the A N C
‘cause they are our leaders ever since we where free
Let’s look at their actions the last couple of years
Compared to the promises that landed on our ears
We all gave our vote in nineteen ninety four
But it is now apparent they’re lying ever more

    We have a parliamentary republic
This means we the people do carry the stick
The stick of the vote to tell the politicians
That we are unhappy and don’t like their ambitions
’cause by voting against them they lose their might
And thus we the people are winning the fight
The fight for our freedom, our voice to be heard
Against their dealings ’cause it’s too absurd

The people are dying of hunger and aids
While our leaders get fatter and so do their mates
The people are poor and still living in shacks
And transport gets worse ’cause the roads all have cracks
They promised us houses, clean water and more…
But spend all the money by shopping offshore
They change all the names of the towns where we stay
It cost us all millions to have it their way

To teach them a lesson, we all need to vote
But this time against them, so they will take note
That we are unhappy with the way they act
It will teach them to listen, that is a fact
But I have to warn you that staying away
And not going to vote on the next voting day
Is showing the powers how little you care
About how they run things and that is unfair!

If you choose not to vote that is your good right
But it means that you give up without any fight…

To be completed, recorded and sent out there! ;)
